Sound Wall Project (recorded exhibition summary)

On Saturday and Sunday (12th-13th of November 2016) my voice performed itself through the speakers of a sound wall (sound system consisting of approximately 30 speakers) in The Collection Museum lobby in Lincoln at a free event (Parallax Film Festival, 2016).

The Sound Wall Exhibition (created by Chris Norvill) lasted for 25 minutes in total. My contribution included a scripted talking part (1 minute long) and singing 4 verses (duration approximately 4 minutes) as part of his project.

I had participated in this exhibition, because the idea of using a sound wall had sounded very interesting and hearing your own voice projected from many speakers at once had promised to be a unique experience. I had also hoped to learn more about the basics of recording vocals in a studio environment.
